New for 2018

New and exciting all day Easter camps will be run at Forres tennis club this year on Tuesday 10th and Thursday 12th from 10am – 3pm. Coaches Jana Brady and Matthew Douglas will be taking the camps and will make sure your child learns and improves their tennis game within those 2 full days. The camps will be enjoyable, exciting, educational and also extremely fun. The main aim is to develop all players tennis skills also introducing the importance of footwork, tactics and technique but these particular subjects will  be taught within fun games and competitions. Groups will be made up based on ability/age. There will be two short breaks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon with a lunch break in the middle where the tuck shop will be open for some snacks. Get your kids signed up for the greatest Easter Camp around. The camps will cost £25 a day to members £30 for non-members and their is also a sibling discount worked in aswell.

Success at Annual Club Champs 2016

The Club Champs weekend saw great tennis played in the summer sunshine. With Junior playing Friday evening through to Sunday for Finals day and the Adults completing their finals on Sunday afternoon it was a busy time at the club.

Well done to all those who took part in all the events.!

Forres members make Finals at Grantown Tournament!

Well done to Calum Middleton and Matthew Douglas who were Runners up in the Mens Doubles at Grantown after a hard fought match, against Dougie Tait and Dave McPherson from Elgin, in some very windy conditions.

last minute paring of Finlay McDonald ( one of Alan’s juniors from Rothiemurchus) and Matthew Douglas were Winners of the Mens Handicapped Doubles at Grantown Tennis Tournament. Sundays final was rained off but it was worth the wait until Tuesday evening to win a great match against Johnny Mullan and Ewan Fraser from Elgin. A great match played and a great result for the youngsters!

Juniors Triumph at Grantown Tournament

Well done to Forres’ Sophia Aykroyd who won the 8U at Grantown this week. Her brother Lewis had an epic match with Freddie, making it to the quarter Finals in the U10’s. Lewis and Sophia also met Judy Murray in Grantown this week.


10 & U team triumph at Gordonstoun to take Division 3 title

Well done to Lewis, Angus S, Angus R , Sophie and Finlay ( not pictured ) on winning the first ever CKD Galbraith Highland league 10&U Division 3 title. Fantastic tennis from all the players helped secure the title!2016-06-11 13.19.04

U16 Team Triumph in Highland League 2015

The U16 team of Matthew Douglas, Duncan Hornsby, Charlie McCann, Jamie Riddick, Murray Robinson and Matthew Stephen are winners of the U16 Highland League 2015!

A fantastic result for the boys on the back of the U14 title as well in the Summer.

It has been a great year for the junior teams with the U14 and U16 winners of their leagues and the U12 team runners up in their division. We would like to thank the boys for their commitment to the matches and also to the parents for their support getting the juniors to away matches and catering for the home matches.
